We had SO much fun photographing Laura and Scott’s wonderful (and wet!) wedding day!  The ceremony was held in a historic church in the old gold mining town of Jackson, CA.  After the ceremony, the happy couple strolled – in the rain – through Sutter Creek, stopping at an old saloon first.  The owner was so excited to see us walk in, he took us to the back dining room with a beautiful mural painted on the wall and set up a table for Laura and Scott, where we took some romantic pics and they had some alone time before heading off to the big-bash-of-a-reception at the Italian Benevolent Society picnic grounds and hall.  They had awesome food, including tri-tips cooked the “hillbilly barrel” way, which is using old metal barrels, then hanging meat hooks from the top with a fire going at the bottom, then smoking the meat until it was SO tender and tasty! (I told my husband we need to get one of those)  Another exciting part of the evening was the world series going on, so there were a bunch of people by the bar watching the game and cheering on the Giants…(and we know how that ended!)  After toasts and cake, the evening ended with more fun, including the chicken dance(!) and a Croatian dance with everyone in a big circle laughing
and dancing 🙂
Congratulations Laura and Scott!
