Want to add some impact to your photos? Consider using the Rule of Thirds, a very simple way to improve your composition.
It goes like this:
1. Picture your viewfinder as being divided into three vertical sections and 3 horizontal sections (see image below).
2. When you go to take a picture (portraits, action, landscapes, you name it) try to have your main subject positioned at the intersection of the lines (on one of the four dots shown below).
3. That’s it! This simple rule has been used for decades by professionals as a way of adding interest and energy to their shots.
