I am completing a very sad photo order today – one of my clients called this week needing some prints made for her daughter’s funeral today. I photographed the Francis family back in September at their home. Mom, Lee Ann, explained that their daughter, Alyssa, has been suffering with brain cancer for about the past 6 years, was now blind and did not have much longer to live. I was honored and humbled to be able to provide a lasting memory for this precious family. I am appreciative of my background as a RN, but I feel being a photographer is extremely important as well, because we can preserve the sweet memories of our loved ones. One of the bittersweet aspects of my job…

Diana, what a blessing you are to this family… and what a present of love you've captured for them to treasure for the rest of their lives…I love the images, even as simple as they are… love them. The one of dad and Alyssa in the football shirts is my favorite, her smile is so sweet…so important that those moments are preserved… smiles, carol niles.
